Abstracts are due April 1, 2018

Theme: The conference speakers and debates will focus on rural surgery topics. The theme is "The Right Care in the Right Place."

Abstracts Submission Dates:

1/1/18:  Call for abstracts
4/1/18: Deadline to submit
4/13/18: Selections determined

General Guidelines: Due to the combined nature of the meeting, there will undoubtedly be greater competition for abstract slots. In order to accommodate as many presentations as possible, the bipartisan Abstract Review Committee will review all submitted abstracts. Approximately 30 - 40 will be selected. The format is described on our onine abstract submission form. Abstracts are limited to 250 words.

Videos: This year we will be accepting up to 5 videos. We will select videos by subject area. To keep it interesting, we encourage videos with a theme such as "getting out of trouble" or "novel approaches."  To submit a video, check the box "Other/video" on the subject area. Instead of the abstract, submit a brief description of the content and learning objectives for the video in the "abstract" box.

Self Assessment:  Presenters should provide two multiple choice questions related to their abstract for self assessment. Give four possible answers and indicate which is the correct answer. Presenters should refer to the questions at the meeting. Note: Please do not use "ALL OF THE ABOVE" or "NONE OF THE ABOVE." You may submit 1 case-based question.

Disclosures: All presenters must complete an ACS disclosure form, available on the abstract online form.
